The 14th league of IPL ( Indian Premier League) was cancelled due to uprise in COVID-19 cases. But now BCCI is looking forward to conduct it in September. Reports say that it may be conducted in September from September 15th to October 15. The grounds will be hosted by Dubai only if the cases in Covid will be in control. The BCCI looking to make some profits in the end of the third quarter of the year by Rich League IPL.
The games will be held in 25 days and all the remaining 31 matches will be conducted between these days. Speaking to Ani BCCI sources said that they are looking for 25 days window to complete 31 matches provided the Covid-19 cases are in control.
See at present we need to plan everything keeping Covid in our minds. But tentatively we are looking forward for 25 days to complete the remaining games of the league . And the dates at present is September 15th to October 15th.
When asked about whether the Emirates board is also looking for the same. The source said that it will be further discussing the same Special General Meeting on May 29. It’s just a tentative plan and will be discussed in SGM on Saturday the source told to Ani.
How will the players travel to Dubai to attend the IPL
The sources informed that the travelling of the players will be of Bubble to Bubble. All those Indian players who are currently gearing up for the World Test Championship. The World Test championship final and the five test series against England will be in UK.
The final test will get over at Old Trafford in England on September 14th. So we will look to fly boys from UK Buble to Buble in UAE with all their teammates will stay to minimize the quarantine period. All will be planned as we move forward with the franchise. Speaking to Ani BCCI general secretary Jay Shah side that, the BCCI and the IPL GC have decided to postpone the league till the further notice. He said that we won’t compromise with the safety of players official of match, groundsmen, staff and every single person involved.
