Breaking news Tamil Nadu, TERRIFIC COMBACK OF DMK AFTER A DECADE

Today for Tamil Nadu also there is a day for the results. We can say that the main competition is between DMK and AIDMK. The current ruling party AIDMK have to continue their second term. And DMK want to be in rule once again.

Various exit polls had predicted a landslide for the DMK and together with its allies, upto a maximum of 200 seats.

The tables have been turned in Nagercoil where BJP candidate MR Gandhi has won against DMK’s Suresh Rajan.

In the 2016 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, AIADMK bagged the lion’s share by securing victory in 136 seats out of 234 while the DMK managed to win just 89 seats. DMK ally Congress won just eight seats while BJP drew blank.

DMK alliance has won or is leading in close to 160 seats. That’s over a 2/3rd majority in the 232 member house. Most of the remaining leads will be converted to wins overnight. DMK is back in power after a decade, MK Stalin is set to be the next chief minister. 

DMK in their manifesto has promised to introduce legislation in the state Assembly to ban NEET exams.

DMK fas further promised to push the Centre to give national recognition to Thiruvalluvar’s Tirukurral.

Set up a separate bench to probe into the corruption charges against the AIADMK ministers.

Resolving grievances of the people of Tamil Nadu within 100 days of being elected to power.

POLITICAL RESPONSE

TTV Dhinakaran said that “We bow to the judgment of the people. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the party workers who worked in the field during the election and the leaders and volunteers of the coalition parties.”

PM Modi also Congratulated MK Stalin and tweeted “Congratulations to Thiru MK Stalin and DMK for the victory in the Tamil Nadu assembly elections. We shall work together for enhancing national progress, fulfilling regional aspirations, and defeating the COVID-19 pandemic.”

DMK Chief and currently CM to be in Tamil Nadu MK Stalin have said to the people of Tamil Nadu and Express his gratitude towards them. And said that “I see this victory as a certificate of appreciation, a recognition for my 50-year hard work in the party as well as in administration. How many hurdles, sufferings, false accusations? I thank you for brushing aside all these things with your votes. I will be true to you, I will work hard for you, forever my thoughts and actions are for the people. The government that is set to be formed in Tamil Nadu, is the government we all are going to run. From now, Tamil Nadu will win, the future will show that.”
