BJP BACK IN ASSAM, Breaking News

Today is the result day for five states of India. In Assam BJP who had already completed their first term. And today they will start their new term with the big win in Assam.

The BJP is looking to create history in the state by becoming the only non-Congress government to win consecutive terms. However, for the saffron party, this election was very different from the other states as Assam was the only place where it was fighting to retain power.

The counting is still on but it is seen that BJP will again form the government with big margin.

The BJP has an alliance with the Asom Gana Parishad , the United People’s Party Liberal and the Gana Suraksha Party.

Assam has a total of 126 seats. A party needs at least 64 seats to be able to form government in the state.

In Assam, an 82.04 % voter turnout was recorded in the three-phase elections to 126 assembly constituencies.

The BJP is expected to retain power in Assam as nearly all pollsters predicted a clear majority for the saffron party in the 126-member Assembly.

Chief Electoral Officer of Assam, Nitin Khade said that participation of women in the polling was remarkable with 80.63 % of the total women voters.

The saffron party had scripted history by winning the traditionally Congress-dominated state in 2016. And this year also they will creat history.

Huge Response for BJP in Assam

N. Chandrababu Naidu Andhra Pradesh Opposition leader congratulated the BJP for a “resounding victory” in the Assam Assembly elections, as the trends indicated another term for the party in the state.

In a tweet, Singh said the pro-people policies of the Modi-led government and the state government under Sonowal have once again helped the BJP in winning the assembly elections in Assam.

Senior leaders of the party, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party president JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, had repeatedly spoken about going past the 100-mark which, as per the exit polls, looks like a distant dream.
