Ind vs Wi : India vs West Indies Who will win Today ? prediction for Ind vs Wi

Jul 24, 2022

After a thrilling encounter in the first ODI, the series is now on the line for the hosts West Indies who suffered a three-run loss against India. The second ODI is scheduled to take place at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain and the Nicholas Pooran-led side will be looking to get over the line. Jason Holder’s absence did have a big toll in the first ODI, but he is unlikely to make the playing XI after testing positive for Covid-19.

On the other hand, India have ticked most of the boxes in the first ODI, but they will still be worried about the middle-order collapses, which could have resulted in a loss in the first game. They are unlikely to make a change to the lineup as Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out due to a knee injury.

WI vs IND Pitch Report

The venue has been a high-scoring pitch traditionally and more than 300 runs were scored twice in the first ODI. With the sun coming down heavily, chasing could be a better option than batting first. Also, with the pitch playing nicely throughout the day, any score has good chance to be chased down if wickets are in hand.

WI vs IND Probable Top Performers

Probable best batter of the 2nd ODI match

Shreyas Iyer:

Shreyas Iyer looked solid in his approach in the first ODI against West Indies and this will be his best chance to secure a place in the ODI setup. The right-hander scored a 57-ball 54, which included five fours and two sixes and he dominated the spinners in the middle overs. Given his immense potential, Iyer will be looking to convert the half-century into a century in the second ODI.

Probable best bowler of the 2nd ODI match

Yuzvendra Chahal:

Yuzvendra Chahal came up with another good performance in the first ODI against the West Indies batting lineup, and he will like to replicate his heroics in the second game too. The leg-spinner picked up the big wicket of Rovman Powell, who can take the game away from the opponent quickly and changed the game in India’s favour. His recent form has been brilliant and he will be Dhawan’s best weapon on the field.
