Class 10th exams are cancelled and decisions on 12th exams is pending. Says the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said on Sunday in a press meet.
Chief minister of Goa in a press meet informed that the 10th exams are been cancelled. He said the 10th (Secondary School Certificate) exams are cancelled due to pandemic situation. The decision was taken following the recommendations of the committee compromising of. Goa board of Secondary and Higher education, and ministers from other educational institutions.
The promotion of class 10th students to next class will be done on the marks obtained in internal assessments. The students will be promoted on the base of their 10th class internal assessments in the academic year 2020-21 . Those students who are failing in one or two exams can appear for exams Allowed to keep terms (ATP) examination told the chief minister.
Those students who want to opt for Diploma or Science streams will have to give a one day exam told the Chief minister. The students will be informed prior of 15 days and then they can performs one day examination conducted by Goa education board.
The Chief minister said ” The same about the Student’s opting for Science and Diploma streams will be informed “.
Chief minister Pramod Sawant said that the decision about class 12th will be announced soon. The decision on Higher Senior Secondary Certificate will be announced in two days. The decision is likely to be expected on Tuesday or Wednesday after considering all the aspects.
Earlier today National Students Union of India (NSUI) Goa had announced that the exams should be postponed. The NSUI had announced that Higher Senior Secondary Certificate and Senior secondary certificate exams should be postponed. And the Chief minister in response had cancelled the 10th borad exams of Goa.
