The Kashmir Files brings the brutally honest story of the Kashmir Genocide to the big screen. In 1990, Kashmiri Pandits were persecuted, forced out of their homeland and murdered. The film attempts to show that dark history to the masses. The Kashmir files had an extraordinary opening on March 11 & it minted 4.25 crores on the first day.
The film’s team, including director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, Pallavi Joshi and Abhishek, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Kashmir Files witnessed a bumper opening at the box office and earned Rs 3.55 crore in India & 4.25 crore world wide despite a limited release.
