Today bellur math had informed everyone that the Vice President of Ramakrishna mission and Ramakrishna math has passed away. They said that due to severe Covid Pneumonia he had passed away. Swami Shivamayananda was most popular among the Ramakrishna mission.

The math had said that ” With deep sorrow we announce the passing away of Revered Swami Shivamayananda ji (Ranen Maharaj), a Vice-President of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, at Seva Pratishthan, Kolkata. On 11 June 2021 at 9.05 pm, due to severe Covid pneumonia. He was 86 and had been suffering from hypertension, bronchial asthma and kidney disease for some years.

Swami Shivamayananda was popularly known as Ranen Maharaj in his disciples. He was born in 1934 in Bihar . He joined the Ramakrishna mission in 1959 after he was influenced by Swami Vivekanand. We worked in many branches of monastary like Santragachi , Rahra and others. Finally in 2016 Swami Shivamayananda became the Vice President of Ramakrishna mission and math.He used to offer spiritual mantras and practices to devotee and his disciples.

Taking to Twitter Governor of Bengal said that deeply saddened to hear this. Deeply condole the passing away of revered Swami  Shivamayanandaji Maharaj, Vice-President, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, at Seva Pratishthan, Kolkata. He attained mahasamadhi today (11 June 2021) at 9.05 pm due to severe Covid pneumonia.

Prime minister Narendra Modi had also tweeted about the passing away of Swami Shivamayananda. He said Swami Shivamayanandaji Maharaj of the Ramakrishna Math was actively involved in a wide range of community service initiatives focused on social empowerment.
