In all of this here comes the bad news from Maharashtra Nashik. An oxygen tanker leaked while tankers have been filled.
In Maharashtra Nashik district on Wednesday at least 22 patients have lost their lives. Due to leaked oxygen tanker because of low oxygen supply this had been happened.
In Zakir Hussain Municipal hospital due to interrupted supply of oxygen 22 people have lost their lives. These people were on ventilator and due reduction of oxygen pressure they lost their lives.
District collector Suraj Mandhare and divisional commissioner Radhakrishna game confirmed the deaths. Said that hospital staff is in shock.
This unfortunate incident happened around 10 am when oxygen tank malfunctioned.
Leading to chaos relatives and all others have stated entering in hospital and entered in the ward. And rhis led to delay in restoring the situation.
According to Nashik civic authorities the hospital had 150 patients and their treatments were ongoing . Out of this 23 patients were on ventilator.
5 lakh will be provided by government to those who lost life in Nashik
An ex-gratia of ₹5 lakh will be provided to family of the deceased, said Chief Minister’s Office. Adding that a high-level inquiry has been ordered to probe the Nashik incident.
“This is an unfortunate incident. I spoke to Nashik municipal commissioner who has informed me that the situation is under control now. I’ll be going to Nashik soon. Nashik Guardian Min Chhagan Bhujbal has already gone there.” Said by State halth Minister Rajesh Tope.
“The tragedy at a hospital in Nashik because of oxygen tank leakage is heart-wrenching. Anguished by the loss of lives due to it. Condolences to the bereaved families in this sad hour,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi have tweeted this and expressed condolences on the deaths happened due to leakage of oxygen.
The FDA Minister informed that at least 11 patients being treated in a hospital. Run by the Nashik Municipal Corporation for the COVID-19 patients have died due to the incident.
“The government will issue a press note after gathering more information and promised a probe into the matter.” Tope said to thr reporters.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh have also expressed grief and tweeted “devastating news from Nashik were precious lives have been lost due to leakage in Oxygen supply at hospital. I am deeply pained due to loss of lives due to this tragic incident. In this Hours of grief my thoughts are with bereaved families.”
BJP leader and former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “I demand that the other patients be helped and shifted if needed. We demand a detailed inquiry.” Devendra Fadanvis was quoted by news agency ANI.
The area can be seen covered in white fumes. Visuals from the hospital show gas rapidly leaking from the tanker.The gas leak caused widespread panic. Fire trucks were rushed to the spot to stop the leakage.
The Governor of Maharashtra tweeted “Deeply anguished to know about the death of innocent patients in the unfortunate incident due to oxygen tanker leakage. In zakir Hussain hospital in Nashik. Convey my Condolences to next of those who lost their lives and wish speedy recovery to the infected persons.
Kailash Jadhav, Commissioner, Nashik Municipal Corporation, said that the people died after oxygen was stopped.
Union Home MinisterAmit Shah have also tweeted and extended his condolences. “I am distressed to hear the news of oxygen leak at a hospital in Nashik. ith Shah expressed his deepest condolences on this irreparable loss of those who have lost their loved ones in this incident. I pray to God for the efficiency of all the other patients.”
