Karnataka; Bengaluru and six cities will be going through Corona Curfew

After the meeting of PM Narendra Modi with all the state Chief Minister. Chief minister B. S. Yediyurppa announced that Bengaluru with other six major cities will be going through a night Curfew. It will be called as Corona Curfew as instructed from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In view of surge in the Corona cases a night curfew will be enforced in Bengaluru and six other cities in Karnataka from 10.pm to 5.am starting from Saturday. C. M. B. S. Yediyurppa announced.

The curfew will remain in place from 10th April to 20th April. C. M. B. S . Yediyurppa said whole addressing a press conference after attending the virtual meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday. Yediyurppa said Corona Curfew ( night curfew) will be imposed between 10.pm to 5.am from April 10th to 20. The night curfew will be imposed in Bengaluru, Muysuru, Mangaluru, Kalaburgi, Bidar, Tumkuru, Udupi- Manipal. Essential services will be exempted from Corona Curfew.

Chief Minister Yediyurppa on Vaccination drive and RT-PCR tests

Vaccination drive will be taken up from 11th of April as instructed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. April 11 ( Jyotiba Phule birthday) till 14th April ( Ambedkar jayanti) . CM Yediyurppa said while elaborating the restrictions. The government has prohibited gathering for fairs and festivals and other religious and social gathering. And ensuring the same is complied with action. Action has been initiated to impose penalties on those who don’t wear mask and maintain distancing in public places.

The government have taken up vaccination drive at a large scale. About 6000 centers are working daily. Out of these 5,400 are in government facilities and 600 in private facilities. So far we have vaccinated more than 53 lakh people. We have vaccinated 22.3 percentage of the target population above 45 years of age as compared to National sum of 13.94 percentage as on April 5.

We jave taken utmost care to minimize the vaccine wastage . Due to the up surge in Corona cases , we have doubled the number of tests to about 1.2 lakh number of tests per day. More than 95 percentage of tests are conducted using RT- PCR method. C. M. Yediyurppa told that we have ramped up the number of general beds, oxygenated beds and ICU’s. We have more than 42,000 general beds, 30,000 oxygenated beds. 3,000 ICU’S, 2,400 beds with ventilator in general Hospital.

The government sought Prime Minister Narendra Modi assistance in providing Oxygen generators from PM-CARES fund to decrease the load on oxygen manufacture. Our government is taking a the possible measure to contain the pandemic and hope to succeed in it with support from Central government.

But co-operation and responsible behavior of the citizens of the citizens matter rhe most. So I appeal to the public of the state to follow all the guidelines issued by the government from time to time. And help us contain the pandemic . Till now ten states have imposed night curfew. Among them Maharashtra, Karnataka, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala.

Major share of the new Corona cases have been from these ten states. And these all the states have imposed Corona Curfew ( Night Curfew) and released new guidelines for the people. Prime minister Narendra Modi yesterday in meeting requested people to follow the guidelines strictly.
