The holy festival of Deepawali is being celebrated today on 4th November, Thursday i.e. on the new moon day of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha are worshiped on this day.
Devotees seek blessings of peace, progress and prosperity from Maa Lakshmi and Shri Ganesh ji. To please Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi, devotees worship with body, mind and wealth. It is believed that on this day Maa Lakshmi showers blessings on her devotees.
Therefore, on this day, Goddess Lakshmi and Ganapati, the god of wisdom and Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, are worshiped with rituals. The night of Diwali is considered to be the night of Sarvartha Siddhi. The pujas and rituals performed on this day bestow great auspiciousness.
On the day of Diwali, worship should be done in an auspicious time and duly. On the day of Diwali, there should be no shortage in Lakshmi Puja, for this, prepare the list of worship materials in advance. Today we will tell you what materials are used in Lakshmi Puja.

Diwali worship method
After completing the Diwali cleaning, sprinkle Gangajal in every corner of the house.
Lay a red cotton cloth on a wooden post and place a handful of grains in the middle.
Place the kalash in the middle of the grain.
Fill the kalash with water and put a betel nut, marigold flower, a coin and some rice grains.
Place 5 mango leaves in a circular shape on the Kalash.
Place the idol of Goddess Lakshmi in the middle and the idol of Lord Ganesha on the right side of the Kalash.
Take a small plate and make a small mountain of rice grains
make a lotus flower with turmeric
put some coins and place it in front of the idol.
After this place your business/account book and other money/business related items in front of the idol.
Now do tilak to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha and light a lamp.
Along with this, apply tilak on the Kalash as well.
Now offer flowers to Lord Ganesha and Lakshmi.
After this, keep some flowers in your palm for worship.
Close your eyes and recite the Diwali Puja Mantra.
Offer the flower kept in the palm to Lord Ganesha and Lakshmi ji.
Take the idol of Lakshmiji and bathe her with water and then bathe with Panchamrit.
Give it a water bath again, wipe it off with a clean cloth and put it back.
Pour turmeric, kumkum and rice on the idol.
Put the garland around the neck of the goddess, light incense sticks.
Offer coconut, betel nut, betel leaf to the mother.
Place some flowers and coins in front of the idol of the Goddess.
Take a lamp in the plate, ring the bell of worship and perform the aarti of Lakshmi ji.
