The statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was vandalised ( not damaged but was scuffled) by mischiefs , near the Sankey Lake signal Bangalore.

Alarmed by the incident, Bangalore police have provided tight security to the Shivaji statue near the Sankey call signal. KSRP troops have been deployed for security.

Shashikala , Minister of the Muzarayi Department, tweeted,

“A scuffle has taken place in Bangalore on a statue of Hindu Emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Shivaji Maharaj was a proud leader who worked hard for the protection of the pilgrimage and the unification of Hindustan. But the image of such an iconic hero is inaccurate. “I appeal to the Home Minister Aruga Gnanendra to investigate the case and take appropriate action against the accused,” She said.
