Breaking News| Lockdown extended till 21st in Hassan

Today Chief Minister Yediurppa had held a meeting with eight district DC’s on how the unlock process should begin. The meeting was started at 12 pm. After the meet was over the DC’s still didn’t take any decision. But the district in charge minister of Hassan K Gopalaiah had announced that the lockdown will be extended till next week.

As of now Karnataka is under lockdown till june 14th. And many district are planning for slow ans steady unlock process. But Hassan District in charge minister has said that the lockdown in teh district is extended by 21st of June.

“Now lockdown has been imposed till 14th June, same will be discussed with officials & it will continue till 21st in Hassan. It will be conveyed to the CM as he’s coming to Hassan tomorrow: K Gopalaiah, Karnataka minister and in-charge minister of Hassan district. Said during a press meet.

The district in charge minister of Hassan K Gopalaiah said that Chief minister Yediyurappa will be visiting Hassan tomorrow and we will inform the same to Yediyurappa and convince him on this decision.

Why was the meeting held with 8 DC’s only?

At present Karnataka has seen a huge drop down in covid cases this month. And people are expecting a relief in lockdown norms. But the majority of active in the state are from these eight district. Mandya, Mysore, Hassan , Belagavi, Chikamangaluru, Dakshina Kannada, Shivamoga and Tumkuru.

These eight district of the state together combines the 65 + % of the active covid cases in the state. Noticing this the Chief Minister Yediyurappa had held a video conferencing with all the DC’S of the above mentioned district.

The lockdown norms are expected to be removed slowly and steadily one by one With time. The state government has planned a five stage unlock in the state. Which will help in reducing the numbers of COVID-19 cases.
